Abstract:
In this paper, we present the two inspection cycles (Good
and Bad) of an optimal control-based framework of
deteriorating systems that are subjected to repair and
inspection. Two models were compared to ascertain which of
the two that predict the mortality rate of transformers. The
comparison revealed that the Makeham Model predicts the risk
of failure by cause.
