Abstract:

The authors investigated the comparative advantage of Egypt and highlighted the role played by export development. The authors found that Egypt has revealed comparative (RCA) ≥ 1 in 733 product lines. They have concluded that Egypt has comparative advantage and is specialized in the production of such products. They have recommended that Egypt put in place an appropriate export development strategy to assist it with product development and adaptation.
